Why should organizations use whistleblower software?

As a result of the above within the organization, the efficiency of the operation and the workplace morale of the employees experiencing it will certainly be decreased, which will cause a financial loss to the organization. It is therefore in the best interest of the managers to find out if anyone is jeopardizing the proper functioning of the organization so that they can take action against it as soon as possible, reducing the damage resulting from sub-optimal functioning.

Not only organizations but also Member States need to operate an external whistleblower system that directly receives the reports addressed to the organizations not receiving those due to the lack of appropriate whistleblower system or receiving but not conducting those. It is therefore in the best interest of the organizations that fraud be reported through their own internal channels and be investigated first under their own authority.

In addition to offering a modern, digital solution for receiving reports, Whisly, thanks to its advanced features, has been designed to make the job of the person conducting the investigation easier. The pre-made list of questions, the sample workflow, and the automated templates are just a few of the features designed to help you with your day-to-day work.

Nowadays, there is a fierce competition in the job market for the best professionals, many of whom considers it important to work for an organization that operates legally, transparently and fraud-free, therefore this idea can be an important part of “employer branding”. A strong indicator of a commitment to clean and transparent business is the operation of a whistleblower software.

What is the purpose of the regulation?

If someone experiences fraud in the workplace, it can be difficult to report it despite the diversity of communication channels of our time. Understandably, they may fear retaliation if it turns out they made the report, or they might not know who to turn to with the problem. The purpose of the regulation is to make the operation of organizations more transparent by giving employees the opportunity to report any abuse or fraud. It is achieved by ensuring that the reporter and their companions will not be disadvantaged or retaliated.
